WHAT OUR MEMBERS SAY

What can we say? We have the BEST members that make up the IronFire Athletics family. They're some of the most dedicated and motivating people we know - but they didn't all start that way. Here are a few stories of success from a couple of our awesome members. Discover where they were and where they are now.

    I started at CrossFit Poway in January of 2011 at age 53, although I have been a runner and mountain biker for 20 years I had no upper body strength. CrossFit changed all that. By building up my muscle strength in the upper body, the  soreness in my right shoulder has gone away. My favorite part of CrossFit is that the workouts change daily. Jason is great and the other people in the classes are very friendly. You never get tired of people telling you how in shape you look!

    I was very skeptical about CrossFit before joining and I wasn’t sure I’d be comfortable working out with males. I was accustomed to my all-female boot camp at Ladies First Fitness in Lancaster, CA-and well moving to San Diego had me looking for a new gym. My husband decided to check out CrossFit Poway and was hooked. . . After a month of attending the classes and raving about the workouts–I had to join. Almost a year into it next month, I look forward to working out every morning at CrossFit Poway. The trainers are knowledgeable, the owners are professional and thorough, and the culture is very supportive. Never did I think I’d be working out with males, let alone lift like a beast. Thank you, CrossFit Poway for being my second home.

    Amazing! Whether you’re absolutely brand new (like myself) to CrossFit or experienced, this box is great! I’ve been going for about a month now. I’m still very new to CrossFit, I’m still learning, but I really like the way this place is run. They scale everything down based on your level of fitness! If you can’t do some of the exercises you’ll practice something that will eventually get you there, you’ll be working your way up. The instructors take the time to teach everyone proper movement in each class and review things before the actual workout begins. So If you don’t understand what’s on the board they explain it to the entire class so you don’t feel out of place for asking. Although, the entire staff is friendly and will go over whatever you need without hesitation. I encourage anyone that has ever considered CrossFit to give it a try! This place will have you addicted!
